It’s good.
For me though a negative is the stock/Asobo engine sounds which come with it. Don’t get me wrong, they’re okay, but, yeah, they could be much better.

Hi all,
Anyone who knows what fuse the ETM computer is connected to?
Want to reset (in flight) but can’t find it on the electrical schematic in the manual.
Every non essential fuse I have tried, but no luck.
Thanks for any info!
Yes, it’s ENGINE INDIC 2.
Thanks a lot!
I just picked this one up, and WOW! Just, WOWWW!!! FIVE STARS. I’ve been hot and heavy with the A2A Comanche for nearly my past 100 sim hours. I know I could ratchet up the failures for more spice in my life, but I had a craving to fly a turbine with even more modeled systems. This one is a real masterpiece, so glad I invested in the Black Square TBM-850.Since JF apparently doesn’t have a comment or review area, I will leave mine here with my fellow pilots.
This baby really checks all the boxes:
I can’t wait to begin my tutelage in this beauty. I love the fact that I could get off the ground, achieve level flight, do basic things like climb, descend, turn, all that stuff, and all of my landings were perfect (a couple of approaches were less so, however). Very intuitive on a basic level, and boy does she like to climb. Despite the ease of entry, I realize there is a major learning curve ahead.
Even though I have NO IDEA of which numbers are good, I somehow managed not to explode the engine! The manual is very complete, I have to dig in. Can anyone point me to performance numbers for the TBM-850? Like, what should I be aiming for in each phase of flight? Pilots, tell me your secrets!!
It was made by Black Square, not Just Flight. And believe it or not, BKSQ is a one man developer! JF is just a reseller or something.
There is as Black Square subforum in a Just Flight community. Nick, BKSQ dev is quite active there.
Thanks, that’s good to know!
Just Flight are not just a reseller, they have an in house development team that did stuff like the Warrior and Arrows AND ALSO are a reseller for a heap of other developers products.
Much like Orbx who also do some in house stuff (mainly scenery) of their own but primarily are a reseller of other peoples products.
In terms of Black Square stuff, yes JF are just a reseller for that.
Not checked into this, so I may be wrong, but didn’t Just Flight make the ‘146’ and ‘Vulcan?’
They did indeed make them!
Just Flight is a Publisher for developers, Black Square and others utilizing Just Flight infrastructure to sell products.
Yes, thats exactly what I meant.
Noob question: so far I have not been able to get the MASTER CAUTION annunciator to go out. I can’t figure out why, there’s no indication of anything amiss in the cockpit, all instruments indicate good readings, and I began my flight on the runway so I presume that the plane was already set up correctly. I have been able to complete my flights without any issues, but I would love to know which checklist item(s) I am missing. I’m going to RTFM again later once I’m done with my day job, but thought I’d ping this group to see if anyone has had a similar experience.
Is there any annunciation on the CAS panel (amber annunciators should throw an MC)? When does the MC go on? Have you pressed it to turn it off? Does the EFB show anything unusual?
Is your rudder trim set correctly for takeoff?
I will say, with the more complexly simulated airplanes (which includes all of Black Square’s offerings), I never start on the runway. There’s always something that doesn’t sync up and throws random errors, or worse, I forget to config something that would have been done in a prior portion of the checklist.
I just started it on the runway as well and checked. All you have to do is press the Master Warning and Master Caution buttons/lights (and the MSG GPS button for good measure) to extinguish the announciations. Only the Parking Brake and Beta announciator lights should be on after that, because the throttle is in beta range by default (at least for me) and the parking brake is set.
Watch out for the inertial separator as well. This can take up to 30 secs to move fully and can also trigger an MC light to let you know that it has operated successfully.
Thanks for the suggestions! It’s really nice to know that the configuration might not be what I expect. I guess I’m pretty trusting. Today I noticed that the auxiliary boost pump was set to auto, But the annunciator indication was flashing. I toggle it on and back to auto, and then reset master caution, and it did not come back on.
Thank you for looking into that! I think it was due to the auxiliary boost pump switch being set incorrectly. I toggled it and reset master caution and master caution did not come back on.
Awesome, Thanks for looking into that! I will check that next time.
Need a bit of help please. Does anyone know if it’s possible to keybind the battery on switch in the TBM?
I’ve tried all the usuals (battery master, battery 1 etc) but nothing seems to work.
I’m on Xbox btw.
Thanks
I think
