Make "request takeoff clearance" the option assigned to '1' on keypad

Some of us that fly with ATC find it’s easy to assign one button to “ATC Option 1” because largely in flight that’s the option to quickly acknowledge basically everything.

When lined up and tuned to tower, the first option on the ATC in-game menu (and therefore the option that your magic button invoked) is to tune back to ground.

Since takeoff clearance doeesn’t become a requestable option until stopped or nearly stopped at the hold short line, I know the logic is there to identify this phase of takeoff clearance and instead switch that option to number 1, and move the Tune Ground option down a bit in the list; don’t need to talk to ground right now.

Thanks!

This has made me nuts, because depending on the available frequencies you will find the take off clearance option won’t always be the 3rd option, so I can’t even just remember to use my opt-3 keybind — I need to visually check the menu at larger airports, because opt-3 might be a different frequency.

This is a really good suggestion.

Yeah thanks, it’s kinda immersion breaking to have to bring up the ATC menu to find which option you’re looking for, particularly during the most exhilarating and cinematic phases of flight. I guess the wishlist request here is: “treat ATC option 1 like the most logical button at any given time to do the next cool thing without making ATC upset with you”

Sounds like a fun (easy-ish?) afternoon project for someone who knows a lot more about this stuff than I do
