Make the speed unit of the Cockpit overlay HUD selectable

For us console players the cockpit HUD overlay is essential. We struggle with reading the small numbers of the real cockpitinstruments due to us having tvs in limited sizes and a diatance betweem tv and us players on the couch. So we use the speed value on left hand side lower corner.

But in some planes the speed values are not given in knots. While MACH values being nicely informative in higher altitudes, they are useless for the most critical situations of the plane: Takeoff, approach, landing. There is no plane, which you don’t take-off or land by knots. So a general optimazation approach should be plane-independent.

I would suggest 3 three settings for the speed value of the overlay, selectable by the game settings menu:

  1. Always Knots
  2. Always Mach
  3. variable (always matching Autothrottle setting. If plane has no auto throttle, then above 10.000 ft radar altitude Mach, below 10.000 ft radar altitude knots… only applying for fast planes… so not for the c172)
