I’m trying to figure out the best way to manage airport scenery. I have some purchased through marketplace and some purchased outside but the files are in different locations. It would be good to find out quickly what airports I own without having to either 1. Go looking in the community folder or 2. Check the marketplace to see if I own it.
I could compile a list but am curious how others are doing this?
I use MSFS Add ons linker to manage items in my community folder. It does not work for things you buy in the sim market place since those are in a different location. I generally try to avoid buying things from the marketplace for that reason though I do have some items from there.
I keep track via Google Sheet.
I too use a spreadsheet to keep track of all purchased content and where I bought it. I also do use MSFS addon linker for stuff purchased outside of the Markeplace to decide what to load.
Having the spreadsheet prevents me from purchases the same content from another vendor. I always look at my spreadsheet before buying anything. I own a ton of stuff and don’t want to purchase items I already own.
I also track MS/Asobo enhanced airports and usually don’t purchase them from someone else unless I hear that’s way better.
I never tried using it for Marketplace items, not sure if it will work, but I will try it some day. But I have the feeling I may encounter problems with the Marketplace items.
