Flight plans showing manseq at the beginning of the flight and at the end of approach. I am able to delete the manseq at the beginning of the flight; however, when I delete the manseq at the end of approach the plan does not reconnect. Can someone help me with this?

You can skip ‘manseq’ and reconnect your flightplan with ‘Direct to’ (next waypoint)!
Manseq is Manual Sequence. It usually pops up when you have a procedure that includes a vector. You, as the pilot, need to activate the next waypoint in the sequence. The FMC isn’t going to do it for you. As has already been mentioned, just make the next waypoint the active one either by moving it on the LEGS page or by using Direct To.
I can do the direct to, but wondering why this second manseq is occurring when it never has appeared before. Is this a bug or something new added to flight planning? Also I am not using the FMC. I am flying GA and use the garmin.
I probably should have said autopilot rather than FMC. What approach are you seeing the manseq in?
I am flying to CYVR . At the end of the Arrival on GRIZZ7, I get the manseq. When I delete manseq the plan does not join the next waypoint which is GOREG.
The GRIZZ7 into 26R has you flying a track of 083 after PEMSU. ATC would then give you vectors to the final approach course. Since the sim’s ATC doesn’t do vectors, you have to make them up as you go. If it was me, I would be using HDG mode after PEMSU until I was far enough past GOREG that I could turn left toward it so I would intercept at an approximately 30 degree intercept angle. You just have to play it by ear. Since this is an ILS approach, I would change the autopilot nav source from GPS to VOR/LOC and arm nav mode. That should automatically capture the ILS localizer. Once established on the localizer you can then arm APP mode which should capture the glideslope and start your descent.
I can do as you suggest, but again I dont understand why manseq is occuring in this late stage of the flight plan…it never has before. I recently installed the newer version of the 430 gps.
It’s happening because the arrival ends with vectors to final.
They just released the second avionics update, so it’s probably that your aircraft was part of it. This exact sort of thing started happening with the CJ4 after it received the first avionics update. Manual sequencing was never part of the autopilot navigation until this, which more closely mimics real world situations.
Thanks to both Mike and Mooncatt. Both have helped my understanding.
