dropping with just a few selections from 120fps to 70’s
if i select more i’m dropping all the way to sub <10 fps.
And this is on a 10700k / 32GB / 3080ti machine.
It has been the same since release, when will Asobo fix this ?
If people like me with plenty disk space want to download high quality scenery data it will save some bandwidth from microsoft.
So why is this not even the slightest of a priority ?
Because only 5 people have enough patience to fight with the manual cache. They should add an option on the world map to pre-cache the area between departure and arrival for example.

It’s been like this since release.
I’ve just selected the schiphol EHAM area in high quality for example.
FPS gets absolutely destroyed.
I want to manually cache a few locations i often visit in highest quality but the fps drops below 5 with more selections.
and lower fps = slower download somehow.
I raised this issue pretty much at release of the sim and it’s still the same 2 years later.
That’s a familiar theme, with many other bugs reported too.
The manual cache is fixed for me so I have to ask about the type, size and condition of the drive you are trying to download to?
i just said in post above what size, just a simple small area of schiphol and fps tanks to <20 from 120
still broken in SU15.
And i’m on a stronger setup now with a X3D chip and a 4080.
You select a few tiles and your fps tanks, your download is also extremely slow with low fps.
if you select a larger region you drop under 5fps.
