Is this even possible in msfs2020??
Yes - you just do it - is it not working for you?
It will warn you that you have a duplicate mapping but if that is what you want just ignore the warning and click validate.
There are 5 throttle axis mappings available.
THROTTLE n AXIS where n=1 to 4
THROTTLE AXIS
If you map your controller axis to THROTTLE AXIS (without the number) it will control all throttles together.
If you have enough axes on your controller you can map the individual ones instead.
what axis do I use for throttle? My joystick has a throttle but only z,x,y axis.
Click on the axis you want to map then when the dialog comes up asking which axis just move the throttle through its full range, the sim should pick up the correct axis and populate it in the dialog.
It doesn’t as i have a saitek cyborg evo. I have to map it by hand!
You don’t have to select the input to make the binding, you can just move the throttle control. Select the THROTTLE AXIS command. Click in the blank space where the input assignment needs to go (I’ve always just used the first one). This brings up the binding pop-up. Now click in the box that says “Search By Input” (not “Select An Input”). Now move your Throttle. MSFS should automatically recognize it and fill in the input number. Then click “Validate” to bind.
