MSFS does not seem to have any OSOBO pre-configured profile (or Picture) for that Joystick, so you will have to define your own custom profile.
You must have the NON FF version … MSFS will CTD with the FF model
Are you using the MS Store version?
I can see that the Steam version has a preset for the Hotas 4. I have no idea why id wouldn’t work. I have the Hotas X of which I assume is very similar and works perfectly (although I had to remap some keys for my convenience).
Edit: maybe if you try the “hotas_x” file and replace the GUID or something?
Don’t bother with the presets, my Thrustmaster A320 Sidestick version had a preset that I basically completely discarded.
It doesn’t take much time but you should just create your own based on your preferences.
It’s 10 minutes well spent (except the configuration UI is not the best thing to work with).
Sure but everyone likes their input method being recognized by the software. With a nice little thumbnail and everything.
Edit: @OP do you have the TM-driver installed or just the generic Windows one?
My Thrustmaster Hotas X was easily detected and came with preset controls, so did my replacement Thrustmaster Hotas One. I’m sure the Thrustmaster Hotas 4 is virtually identical to those two models.
Have you selected “PC” with the little switch on the rear side of the stick base? It’s possible that it doesn’t work properly, because it’s still set to “PS4”.
^^^^
What Jigsaw said. I was having the same issue with mine when the game first launched. I didn’t realize that my switch had been moved over to the X-Box position. Switching to PC and plugging it back in fixed it. MSFS recognized it and set up the default layout, which is quite good for the most part. After a couple of weeks, I only made a couple of minor tweaks to it.
I have the latest firmware and the TM drivers. The stick works properly, just that the graphics in the game when you select the control, doesn’t show the button numbers and mapped controls like it does for other input devices (like Logitech joystick, for example)
