Marketplace Purchase Gets Stuck

MS Store, PC

I am trying to buy the new Skyvan aircaft but my purchase never completes.

  1. I go to the Marketplace and select the Skyvan

  2. I select “Buy and Download”

  3. I enter my password (I have the MS Store set to require password entry for purchases).

  4. The black pop-up appears with blinking lights on the bottom. This is where it gets stuck indefinitely. I’m never asked for my credit card or anything, the box just stays in this initial condition. See pic

  1. I do not have this issue with free items like the a City Update. I just click on the Download button and it immediately starts downloading.

I have tried the following things:

A. Being patient. I have left this stuck purchase box up several times for over an hour but it never completes.

B. Making sure the MS Store itself and ALL my other apps in it, including all the Xbox apps, are up to date.

C. Logging in and out of the Xbox apps.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks, but that didn’t help. Still the payment box is stuck.

While the unresponsive black popup is sitting there, I get a notification that the purchase is pending.

When I close the unresponsive black popup, for a moment I get the red dot at the top of the product description that says “another purchase is pending”. However, this soon goes away and the “Buy and Download” button becomes active again. Also, I get a notification that the previous purchase attempt was canceled.

Thanks @Hester40MT , it was the VPN. That’s never been a problem before, however.

Try turning off your VPN

I want to thank everyone for thye assistance. I don’t know how, but everything is working now, I was able to make my purchases.
