MarketPlace spontaneously downloading entire Base contents to Official2024 folder

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

installed SU3 Beta 1.5.2.0 and flew a near perfect 30-minute flight with complex addon airports and aircraft.

After the flight I discovered the MarketPlace is downloading the entire Base contents to my:

A:/MicroSoft Flight Simulator/Packages/Official2024 folder

I have no idea why this is happening or how to stop it - I repeatedly CANCEL the updates but as soon as I restart the sim - MP starts downloading to the above named folder. At this point (111 items ready to install) the folder is 64GB with 6,533 folders and 60,421 files. I can pause the downloading but as soon as I restart the sim the downloading starts again.

I have no interest in downloading content because I am on a very reliable 1 GB Xfinity network with no data caps.

• In MarketPlace/My Library there is no line for Community - I cannot access the Community Folder from My Library. The last two lines in usercfg.opt are:

This worked for me on a recurring download of the Vision Jet:

While the sim is down, remove any and all folders in Official2024. Open the hidden .fscontent folder and delete anything in there as well. You may need to use Windows Explorer settings to show Hidden Files/Folders to see that.

Reboot the PC for good measure.

Restart the sim and observe.

If it stops downloading (fingers crossed), you may now need to scrub My Library for each item and ensure it’s not set to Ready to Install or any other status than “Streaming.”

Followed your directions exactly

As soon as I start the sim and go into MarketPlace it starts downloading Base Contents again. This time it stopped at 65 items “Ready to Install”.

I clicked on “Install” for the first item and the sim went into the Installing Box with the revolving circle and hung there. Sim would not accept any input from mouse, keyboard, or any connected device.

Had to terminate the sim with Task Manager

I then restarted the sim and went into Market Place and this time all is well. Market Place is not trying to download or update anything and my Community folder is shown as a line item in My Library.

All very strange!
