Massive micro stutters and screen tearing SU12

Yesterday I updated to SU12. I updated all my addon aircraft and updated everything else in the sim. I noticed after loading into the PMDG 737-900 that I was having some stuttering issues, so I took the following steps:

  • Cleared Shader Cache via disk cleanup
  • Cleared Nvidia DX Cache folder
  • Cleared rolling Cache
  • Lowered my terrain LOD and Object LOD

After doing this the sim was buttery smooth last night, I was getting 40-50 FPS on the ground in INI LAX scenery!

This morning I started a flight in the Fenix a320, was having no issues until I started taxiing, I started getting insanely Low FPS (like single digits) screen tearing and stutters. When I stopped taxxing the FPS was fine for some reason, then when I started the same issues occurred. I tried fixing the issue by updating FSUIPC7 and I deleted Rex accu-seasons because it wasn’t updating for some reason.

I’m still having the same screen tearing and FPS issue and it’s driving me insane. I even loaded into a default piper cub and well see screen shot below. I have a pretty high end system (Nvidia RTX 3090 FTW3, Intel i9 12900K, 64 GB DDR4 RAM, and MSFS is installed on a Samsung M.2 2 TB drive by itself). I was never having these issues until SU12. Anyone have any suggestions for any additional steps I can take?

Check your graphic settings. Wouldn’t be the first time MSFS changes settings to the worse. All above in the upper section. Things like Supersampling, DLSS, etc. Have an extra look at the resolution, does the shown percentage go with the shown resolution? If not, change it, accept it, change it back.

I did check and confirm my graphics settings were correct. I updated a few things and it seemed to get rid of the massive FPS drop. I still need to do some more testing.
