:maple_leaf: This Week’s Flight – Going Canadian!

This week we’re heading to Canada and flying with a choice of two quintessentially Canadian aircraft:

  • Viking Air CL-415

  • DHC-4 Caribou

These aircraft are well matched in speed, so the group should stay together nicely. The Viking can grab a few extra knots if you’re after a little extra pace, and it’s a surprisingly fun plane to hand-fly.

:airplane: Hand-flying is encouraged, as we’ll be weaving our way through valleys, hills, and lakes on this scenic adventure.

:airplane_departure: Flight Details

  • Date/Time: 1030 UTC

  • Simulator Time & Weather: Set in-sim just prior to takeoff

  • Destination: Squamish (CYSE)

    • Optional: There is some beautiful payware scenery by Burning Blue available (MP may be the cheapest option), but this is not essential to participate.
  • Server: Southeast Asia

:clipboard: Summary

  • Theme: Canadian bush flying adventure

  • Aircraft: Viking Air CL-415 or DHC-4 Caribou

  • Flying Style: Hand-flying recommended for the terrain

  • Scenery: Optional payware for Squamish, otherwise default is fine
