Sunday Airliner World Tour :globe_showing_asia_australia::airplane:

Nagasaki :japan: → Wuhan :china:

The Massive Simulations 32 Sunday Airliner World Tour is on the move again!

This Sunday we’re leaving Japan behind and heading west across the East China Sea into China, flying from Nagasaki (RJFU) to Wuhan Tianhe (ZHHH).

This is an airliner flight, with narrow-body aircraft preferred, but if you’d rather bring something bigger, wide-bodies are absolutely welcome.

Pick your favourite airliner, load up the passengers, get the flight plan into the FMC and come fly with us!

:japan: DEPARTING NAGASAKI

Our journey begins at Nagasaki Airport (RJFU) in western Japan.

Nagasaki has a fascinating aviation setting, with the airport itself constructed on an island in Ōmura Bay. Opened in the 1970s, it was one of the world’s early examples of a major airport being developed primarily on reclaimed and transformed offshore land.

That should give us some great scenery as the group gets airborne.

Once everyone is up, we’ll turn west and leave the Japanese islands behind as our World Tour continues towards mainland Asia.

:ocean: ACROSS THE EAST CHINA SEA

With Japan disappearing behind us, we’ll settle into the cruise for our journey across the East China Sea.

This should be a great sector for the aircraft that form the backbone of short and medium-haul airline operations.

The 737 and A320 families will be right at home here, but anything capable of comfortably flying the route is welcome.

737 MAX? Bring it.

A320neo? Absolutely.

A220, 737 Classic, A319, A321, 757 or something a little more unusual?

Come along!

And if you really want to roll up to the gate in a 777, 787, A330 or A350, we’re certainly not going to stop you.

Wide-bodies are welcome too.

:china: ARRIVING IN WUHAN

After crossing into China, we’ll continue inland towards Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province.

Situated around the meeting point of the Yangtze and Han rivers, Wuhan is one of central China’s major transportation and economic centres.

Our destination is Wuhan Tianhe International Airport (ZHHH), the city’s principal international airport and a major aviation gateway for central China.

We’ll descend into Wuhan, bring the group onto the ground and add another completed sector to our Airliner World Tour.

:airplane_departure: WHAT SHOULD I FLY?

The theme is simple:

Bring an airliner!

Narrow-bodies are preferred for this sector, so aircraft such as these should be ideal:

Airbus A220
Airbus A319 / A320 / A321
Boeing 737 family
Boeing 757
Embraer E-Jets

But this is the Massive World Tour, so if your definition of an appropriate aircraft involves considerably more engines, passengers or tonnes of maximum takeoff weight, that’s fine too!

Wide-body airliners are welcome.

Fly something you’re comfortable with and enjoy the journey.

:globe_showing_asia_australia: THE WORLD TOUR CONTINUES

Every Sunday we move another step along our journey around the globe.

Different countries.

Different airports.

Different scenery.

Different weather.

And plenty of opportunities to try aircraft and routes you might otherwise never fly.

This week we’ll watch Japan disappear behind us and mainland China appear ahead.

Next week?

We’ll keep moving.
