Hi everyone. I’ve been using MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 since day 1 and, after finding a good balance of settings for my RIG, I have always flown without major issues.
Yesterday I had the great idea to upgrade my OS to Win11 and after that my MSFS has been very bad. Massive stutters, both sound and image, affect the flight, especially as I the airplane changes heading or moves after some minutes of straight flight.
I’ve already cleaned all the caches (MSFS, DirectX, Nvidia) and clean reinstalled my GPU…no positive effects.
Any idea of what could be causing this after switching to Win 11? Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance
Can you get the windows 10 back?
Maybe, but consideeing that Win10 has come to its end, I would like to solve the problem with Win11
No two setups are similar but I had to go thru disabling some devices after upgrading. Be caution, again my solution may not be your solution and disable device can make your PC instable for the least ![]()

I too notice stuttering in MSFS 2020 now that I moved to win 11, it is a very notieable difference, and I have a very clean, sim-only PC, I cleared out all the old win 10 files via Disk Clean, updated BIOS, loaded all latest MB software, latest graphics driver, all other hw devices updated, rolling cache cleared, nvidia cleared, nvidia shader on 10gb but no change. My PC is very powerful, but the hw is now about 2 years old, so maybe this is the reason. But under win 10 it was super-smooth, so I have done a re-install on win 10 from zero.
Sorry this doesn’t help much, but you’re not alone
