External button on what? Some peripherals are not supported/badly supported.

Master caution ack input is found in controls setup for longitude! A simple yoke button is assigned to it . The Master caution light does not clear on main instrument when button is toggled . The assignment is there! Is it modeled? That’s what I need to know

No, I’ve tried to bind it to a button on a joy controller like all other 100 buttons that I have assigned!

Well, to test to see if the binding is functioning, you can try binding it to a keyboard button. If that doesn’t work then it would seem to me that it’s not functioning. If it does work then there is some other problem.
