I am sure that there is a knack to this that I am not seeing but the in-headset firmware does not get updates. It has stayed at 76.1025.
I have even tried to force an update but it just reinstalls 76.1025 again.
I even tried switching off PTC and then going forward again but it seems to make no difference.
Currently I am on Meta Quest Link 77.0.0.574.329, but how do I force the headset update?
Any help would be appreciated.
To get ptc v77 on your headset you need to use your phone app device settings and subscribe/enroll in the ptc program (google meta quest ptc). You may not be able to do this if the program is already fully subscribed. Up to you but personally I think it best to avoid ptc/beta and just wait for the final stable versions to get rolled out.
Appreciate the help. Thanks.

I guess everything comes to those that wait. My Quest 3 got updated to 77.1025 this afternoon.
I wanted to thank @THESNAFU1 for his contribution. THis also solved my problem, greatly appreciated.
BUT : noticed that this works whern the PC is connected to the web.
Here for our clients we use offline laptops and headsets, and with this fix, it works but there is about 75 seconds delay when the Meta Link launches (white 3D Meta sign on black screen).
When it is finally started up, lauching our app also takes the same time (instead of 3 seconds when web-connected).
Slow, but repeatable and stable.
Could you guys try it out and confirm this on your side ?
Thanks !
I’m glad the fix worked for you. And thanks for the nice email, I appreciate it.
