Yes, if we make our own observation of the weather that is happening in the sim we would get an accurate report right?
I made observations since release of this sim and now i notice strange behaviour in the weather thats not occuring IRL since su7. But the observations i do is always accurate. Many has made observations of strange things happening in the weather. At release we only had the strange thing that it didn’t match METAR all the time but it shouldn’t. It should have matched Meteoblue data.
I can make my own METARS if i want to in the sim and they will match. More accurate than real observations. In real world we do not have simvar data.
Tell an airport without METAR available and i can make an accurate METAR for you based of only Meteoblue data.

Try it now and see if you get an accurate METAR on a place without METAR.
It’s really easy to make an observation of winds. It always says average winds. No variation in winds at all at groundlevel. IRL they need to meassure winds for 10 minutes to get an average.
Here is another one. A bit more tricky to observe. This is my report though and it’s the same IRL it’s the one that reports them it’s perfect accurate for.

I think the most important thing is that it’s accurate for everybody in the sim. That both you and i can see the same weather? Observations can be made of the weather that is occuring in the sim and it’s happening right now live in the sim as real weather does but it behaves strange after su7.
We should have made a database for user made observations of the weather. I can see so many people around here observing the weather all the time in the sim and tells it’s not accurate. Why not make an accurate METAR for us all to use instead of telling it was not accurate? Then we all would have had a match and an accurate METAR right? Now they completely changed the weather system to insert those inaccurate METARS. That kind of strange weather system we have had since the beginning of live weather in old sims that needs transitions every 30 minutes. Nothing new and unrealistic.
