ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
When I set the in-sim time to a time in the future (e.g. one or two hours in the future or more), the EFB Metars will use yesterdays METAR at that time of day instead of the most current one from real time. It seems to look only for the zulu time and not for the zulu day in the METARs.

Provide specific location or coordinates:

Provide time and date of the observed weather issue:

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Example: Now it’s 27th of November 2000z in real life. I fly in the sim at 27th of November 2200z (so 2 hours in the future).
  2. EFB METARs will however be from the 26th (!) of November 2200z.
3.Correct would be the METAR from 27th of November 2000z (the most current one)

so to reproduce set an in-sim time in the future and look at the EFB Metars and check the DATE

This is already a known issue and covered in this thread:

The sim uses the weather based on the time (not date) in the past 24 hours. While this rewind-feature was intentional on the “Live” settings (and it’s showing visually there), it seems to be a bug in the “Custom” setup where time and weather should be independent.
Please vote and contribute in the linked thread

If this would solve this issue right here, too, then I’m all in. So the METAR reports should in this case be coupled to the “weather-time” in your case, right?
