Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 FAQ Updated

More to the point, “will there be TRUE Alpha testing of MSFS 2024”, with some of the bigger 3PD invited to review and actively comment on and discuss improvements & requirements of the overall design and SDK, for all 3PDs, BEFORE Asobo goes too far down a design path, that they cannot significantly change, after receiving suggestions from experienced 3PD’s developers.

ie What maybe should ideally , in Hindsight, have taken place BEFORE MSFS2020 was released.

There also seem to be a lot of Key Positions, at Asobo, still looking to be filled (some have been posted for over a year)

  • ATC & Flight planning Programmeur H/F (Flight Sim)
  • Autopilot Programmer H/F (Flight Sim)
Artiste Environnement Senior H/F (Flight Sim)

Unlikely. The chaos train will be leaving the station with the doors still open?

Whether On or off “Track” , I hope it does not too quickly “Run out of Steam”

It can run out of Steam if you buy the MS Store version

You do have a great point, as we know some of the custom Asobo airports do have working monorails and world wide bing does capture railways in areas,

Well at least there is an effort to include local folks who modify scenery such as tree reduction/foliage corrections that will be integrated into the sim. I was thinking more along the lines of Bing Maps getting an upgrade…and thus having an impact on what we see in the Sim. I see lots of errors in Bing Maps and suppose it will not ever reach a high level of accuracy and yet some algorythm should take care of roads listing/banking as much as 60 degrees on their sides and cars defying gravity. Oh well.

I do hope so. As you say the technology is there. It’s possible. We can only hope and pray! And beg

I paid 140€ for the Premium Deluixe version of the game…
Will the Premium Deluxe content be compatible with MSFS 2024??
Will I have to pay another 140€ for another Premium Deluxe version of the game???

Please tell me the extra content of Premium Deluxe version will be compatible/exportable to MSFS 2024.

They’ve kind of implied it ought to, but I’m not sure I’ve seen it 100% spelled out that the aircraft and airports included in the deluxe / premium packs will port forward. They’re … sorta the Marketplace?

We’ll see…

I am hoping that this Premium/Deluxe fiasco, with totally unreasonable update costs from Basic Edition, will be abandoned in 2024, and there will just be ONE VERSION for all… MSFS 2024 !!

In 2023, there is nothing very “Premium or Deluxe” about what was offered in these packages in 2020 !

Nobody knows yet, probably not even Microsoft or Asobo. There may not even be a Premium Deluxe version.

In 2020 it was about more Aircraft and ‘better’ Airports. If this was the case then I would just opt for the basic version and just buy the 3rd party addons I was interested in.

They could do it differently this time though. Maybe instead of AC or Airports a Premium version could be all about in game career mods, better activities, better traffic in the sky, more wild life, passengers around airports etc. That could be tempting for some.

I would hope to have the Premium/Deluxe aircraft available still. Hopefully by them being a default offering. They strategically peppered offerings to target all the various enthusiast groups along with the general population.

Hopefully we don’t repeat the FS2020 pilot eyepoint position fiasco where the seat was positioned in the furthest back/lowest position rather than the flying position. This resulted in seeing nothing but the dashboard. It’s difficult to land (even an airliner) if you can’t see the runway.

Also we need the view adjusted to fix the fisheye distortion. It’s VERY noticeable on wide screen monitors but also visible, to a lesser extent, on standard monitors.

Will MSFS 2024 SUPPORT HOME COCKPIT BUILDERS ?
Specially multi monitors.
Please don’t tell me it’s just another Xbox game.

OK, I won’t tell you. Deep down, you know the answer.

All in due time, best thing is to hope is that they just bring forward what we have in 2020 and build on top of that. Improve and rewrite what need to be adjusted and fixed and obviously even though the aerodynamics are pretty advanced in 2020, continue to refine it and add more to it for 2024. Hope they add support for weather radar in 2024 as well and open up the weather system for the next iteration even if it means not using Meteoblue anymore.

I wonder if we will ever see a trailer showcasing the airliners in fs2024 because I keep waiting to see what airliners are in the game
