Likewise. On launch, and for quite a while after, decent aircraft addons were pretty scarce.
Those extra AC with the most expensive version were definitely well worth the price for me.
It will be interesting to see if they have different tiers for FS24. I think there is a fair chance especially with Jorg (I think) referring to the ‘base’ simulator. Not bothered about Asobo AC now so for me to buy a top version they would definitely have to offer something different.
They bring the 737 Max and want to generally improve the fidelity of the „Default“ planes. If there are tiers, im gonna get the most expensive one anyway
I’ll definitely get the highest tier given how terrible the path to upgrade was in FS2020 — and because I wanna support the development. You’d basically pay full price again if you decide to upgrade later
I know they have said that for the most part the addons and additional aircraft we have purchased through the market place will most likely be transferable to FS2024. My question is this, will any of the aircraft that come with FS2020 be transferable to FS2024? For example, my favorite aircraft to fly is the Icon A5 which is part of FS2020 already, will that be transferable to FS2024, or will I have to hope and pray that a third party dev puts one on the market to purchase?
I’m pretty sure all aircraft in the current base game will also be in the 2024 base game. What they’ve shown is just new fancy additions we’ll also get included with the new purchase.
I have read a lot about MSFS 2024 but i will not believe that it is a new simulation core. In my opinion it’s an updates 2020 sim with some extra futures and a lot of gameplay add to it.
I wait a while before a make a decision on buy or not buying.
I want to hear and see first after it’s release if MSFS 2024 is not only a marketing thing.
I see this as an update, whatever they couldn’t add to the sim back then, now in 2024 that are adding it to the sim , so I still believe it is going to be a super paid update ( maybe another 125 dollars more
By all means you should take the cautious approach until you see proof of these claims post-release. However, if you have been following in detail the evidence so far strongly indicates that MSFS 2024 is set to be substantially superior in every regard. Although the info so far is only the tip of the iceberg, just about everything in 2024 is a significant advancement. Physics, Aerodynamics, Weather systems, Gameplay, AI, Terrain rendering with better texture resolution and lighting etc. Day 1 for me…
You believe all the marketing messages they tell us.
My opinion is first see then believe.
I hope that you are right. When the time is right i will see what to do.
I am certainly not one of the first buyers.
The first rule in MSFS24 is don’t talk about MSFS24. The second rule in MSFS24 is don’t talk about MSFS24.
JK JK! All jokes aside we have been given some good info, and some great Easter eggs that the community have been eager to point out. It’s been tight lipped, I’m excited for this fall when they really get to let some details ‘fly.’ All more info than RockStar Games has provided over the last 10years waiting for their next GTA iteration.
We’ve already seen what they can do. I don’t know about you but I’ve been flying MSFS2020 for a couple of years and seen constant improvements in a multitude of ways, all for free. Sure there’s been some backwards steps as nobody is perfect and it’s a very complex system, but if I was to load into the sim I had in 2021 I’d be pretty disappointed now.
Some of the biggest limitations we have are due to the architecture which is one reason for the partial rewrite in the new version. So it’s clear what the team can achieve, and its clear what they want to achieve, and MSFS 2024 is the path forward. Day one here I come!
I’m willing to bet that 6 months after release nearly everyone on this forum will be flying MSFS 2024. There are so many improvements shown already that almost everyone is going to want in.
