Got an email earlier today from iniBuilds with some interesting details about their approach to transfering/upgrading add-ons from MSFS 2020 to MSFS 2024. The images below show the whole email (sorry, it’s quite long). “Compatible” add-ons will be free, “Enhanced” charged and upgrade fee and “Premium” charged as a new product. I’m not too suprised by this, but the “Enhanced” category doesn’t read like it’s very enhanced from the “Compatible” category, so maybe surprising that they are going to apply an upgrade fee for these. Of course, I have zero understanding of what it means to re-export the models with new LOD system and materials (as that seems to be the only change between the free “Compatible” category and the “Enhanced” category), at least for aircraft.
