Microsoft Flight Simulator does not install on my W11 PC

I tried to install the Microsoft Flight Simulator Premium Edition from the XBox where it is flagged that I do own it and it fails to install with the error message “0x00000001”.
I tried reinstalling the XBox, I tried all things I found on the Internet regarding my problem and it fails. My sim did work when I had W10 Pro on my PC-

What are all those efforts to continue the development Roadmap when the basic first step does not work?

I use to fly single-engine real GA planes and was about to get the multi-engine while I was in my job. Now, I am retired and with health problems and a good friend of mine and myself do recreate those wonderful trips we made in reality. I agree that it is a long road to make the sim reflect reality. But my first solo night landing in Sky Harbor, Phoenix, AZ is not what I get to see when I try to repeat what I have done in reality. The runway is not as dark as it was in reality. Just before touch-down, you sing into a black hole. My first landing was pretty hard, my next landings were perfect. Also, Sky Harbor is different from other airport in that the terminal buildings are between the runways and so it is not a black area in the lights of the city.

I know you said you tried everything but just checking you saw this and followed the steps.

Windows 11 insider preview?

I have done so with no success. Right now I keep the XBox installation open and active for MSFS to see if after 24 hours it does work:
@YearlingDeer319: I did try to solve this and I asked my son to help and he did succeed neither.

@TenPatrol: What do you want to tell me? (…)

Did you try to install it from the MS Store?

Win 11 insider build 2 days ago has broken Gaming Services.
There is another topic here with the fix.
Remove Gaming Services from the registry.
Install a new Gaming Service, then update it.
Try this …

Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter

“get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”

Restart your PC, open PowerShell as admin again, and enter

“start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”

The Microsoft Store will open and ask to install Gaming Services, install. Then try installing any game again.

I tried everything in Troubleshoot game installations on a Windows device to no avail.

The upper right corner has a Contact us button. I clicked it. I chatted with a support rep, who reset something on my account and solved my problem in less than 10 minutes. I’m surprised and delighted. I highly recommend it if you’ve tried everything at that link.

Hi,
..same issue here.

fresh installed Windows 11, fully updated
Forza Horizon 4 and 5, also Forza Motorsport 7 installed without any issues!
now the last game wont download anything via MS-Store / XBOX Game Pass app!
i get [0x00000001] error, or it stucks at 0% download. i tried the re-install of the gaming services mentioned above without success.
what to do?
thanks!

@NormandyAir they send me to zendesk and i have opened and request there for now, nothing magically resetted on my account as u mentioned!

Update:

Seems to work now.
I just did again:
logged out from ms-store

  1. wsreset
  2. stop/repair/reset ms-store
  3. stop/repair/reset xbox app

reboot, and voilá, it downloads now!
