Microsoft Flight Simulator Sim Update 1 Beta Update 1.3.22.0

I’d love to take part in the beta testing of FS2024. I was part of the Alpha testing, although I had issues with it not being available in the Store so never got as far as downloading it.

FS2020 has become a great flight sim and 2024 does have the potential to be even better in time.

I don’t own FS2024 as of yet. I will but like 2020, I usually hold back until it’s stable before purchasing.

In relation to Beta testing, I’d love to take part in helping it become a better product… but … reading Microsoft’s’ documentation on beta testing, I am not prepared for it potentially causing instability issues with the PC, (resulting in re-installation of Windows). I have a working stable system and want to keep it that way.

I can live with reinstalling the beta etc. as is common practise. I’d love to know what experience others have had and where I might sign up to the beta program.

I play via Steam so it would have to be through the console rather than the approach taken via the Alpha testing as I have local Windows accounts, not accessing via an email address which now seems the norm.

Hey Buddy, I have the Store version, so I can not tell anything about the process of the steam version. What I can tell is that I can switch between the beta version and the non beta version without any problems.

Since I can only speak for myself, I did never experience a problem so bad that I would have to reinstall windows because of MSFS2024. But that is just me. I read a lot of other stories from people that had more problems with MSFS2024. What I can say is that MSFS2024 beta or non beta is very picky with overclocked components such as CPU and GPU.

Hi. I am on Steam, and have opted in and out of beta several times with no issues at all. The sim just updates itself via Steam console.
