Microsoft Store not collecting and installing update

I’ve signed out of MSStore and signed out and uninstalled the Xbox and Xbox Companion apps, rebooted and signed into the MSStore, installed the Xbox apps and signed in.
The sim still requests that I download the mandatory update from the MSStore, but the store doesn’t download the update.
I’ve navigated to “Downloads and updates” on the MSStore and selected “Get updates” but the Store just returns “You’re good to go- All your apps and games from the Microsoft Store have the latest updates”. No update is collected and installed. I’ve been trying the same process every hour since 4pm BST and nothing.

I seem to be running into the same issue. I’m on the U.S. West coast and mainly mention that because it might be the case the update is being rolled out by region(?). Who knows.

I also tried installing Windows updates, which in the past provided the secret handshake to unlock things so the Store sees there’s an update. @MrSquishieUK - Recommend giving that a shot.

In the meantime, I’m now updating Windows 10 from version 21H0 to 21H1 to see if that makes any difference. UPDATE: Taking the 21H1 update did not make any difference still getting the “You’re good to go” message after clicking Get updates

The only upside so far compared to the last few updates is the issue where the outer installer doesn’t run, but the in-sim installer still runs seems to now be fixed. At least I’m not getting mismatched bits.

Run Xbox insider hub app and leave preview.
After that run msfs and be patient.

Ah, yes and thanks @TenPatrol . I totally forgot about that. I’ve unjoined from the preview. Now I’ve entered the patience phase. Still not seeing the update, but will keep trying

Run microsoft flight simulator not ms store app

Hmmm, running MSFS doesn’t cause it to see the update. I’ve also tried killing “Gaming services”, which has become a one of my go-to steps, but no dice (yet). Perhaps it takes some time for the service to see I’m no longer enrolled in the Preview(?)

Another reboot did the trick. Get updates from the store worked. @TenPatrol - Thanks for the help

I’ll be back in the West Coast server skies shortly

Yup - had the same problem with the store – Looked in X-box and gave me the option to Launch flightsimulator-so I clicked on “Get updates” (or update all) and the update magically started downloading.

Well, it is now the next morning.
After installing Windows update 21H1, still nothing. Multiple reboots, nothing. And I’m not involved with any related preview on the Xbox Insider Hub.
All other important and optional updates and drivers were installed before.

I’ve also completed all the troubleshooting steps I’ve seen on other threads, including repairing the launcher and ALL the steps here.
This is the first time I’ve ever had issues getting an update for MSFS or any other MSStore game. All I want to do is fly!

In search bar type

wsreset.exe

Right click on it and select run as administrator and be patient.
After a while command promt window and ms store will open.

In microsoft store app select … > download and updates > get updates

I always run the reset as admin along with cmd prompt. This still has not fixed the issue. I am still not getting issued with the update.

It’s now the following morning again, and still no update available through the store!

So it is now almost 9pm BST on Sunday, STILL no update available through the store! Still doing all the troubleshooting solutions with NOTHING working!

I have now raised this problem with Zendesk as I STILL don’t have 1.17.3.0 being delivered to me! This is getting stupid!
