I know this was raised before, but just wondering if the team has investigated this as a potential source of CTDs / system crashes?
I’m getting crashes whenever the sim is trying to launch and see no xvd drive is listed in device manager. However when the Windows Store is able to mount the virtual drive, the sim launches and runs normally. FYI, I am running with rolling cache enabled.
Why are you raising the issue of a bug for something that you do not know as a bug?
The MS VXD does not cause any problems.
The MS VXD is not listed in File Explorer.
It is listed in my Minitool Partition Manager.

The xvd drive is listed in Device Manager (when it is able to successfully mount); you don’t need a partition tool to see it. The virtual drive will not be listed in File Explorer.
There are numerous threads here and in other forums where issues with mounting / unmounting, or “surprise removing” the xvd drive causes loading issues, crashes or stutters. It may or may not be a culprit here, but any leads for the team may be useful.

Really. That is such a valuable item to be concerned with.
Instead of flying,
I think I’ll spend today trying to figure out/understand what is happening with a MS VXD drive. Must be something it is doing to FS2020.
Well, I think I’ll just go and fly. . . . . . . .
Not sure you comprehend the whole launching the sim thing. Maybe I should type slower…
Right. I don’t. My sim launches just perfectly.
I don’t think typing any slower will help me.
