Yes , Still the same the last 4 years , in 2020 and now in MSFS 2024

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Always when using live weather

Yep, one of the first things I checked when I started up FS2024. New Zealand was my favorite place to fly in P3D, but the lack of weather stations and the year-round snow at Milford convinced me to stick to the UK in 2020 and now 2024.

• This bug cannot be changed by adjusting time of day, time of year and seems to be associated with the tile scenery area of NZMF. Using NZA Simulations scenery does not override always snowy. Also present when loading of FS20 NZ update for NZMF is suspended and only using NZA Sims scenery.

This same problem also exists at ‘Mount Cook’ aerodrome NZMC, and partially also at ‘Fox Glacier Aerodrome’ NZFO.

Yep, arrived there just now, 18°c ground temps, everything covered in snow.

Yeah still the same in fs2024, snow everywhere at Milford sound.

Yea noticed this too I’m a New Zealander myself so is Luke c’mon it goes green during spring summer start of autumn is when we start seeing the snow appear but it’s not constantly covered in snow down there at all same with mount cook area the NZA Simulations versions of both are great and very accurate tho but still live weather mucks with them to the point I have to change the weather to get correct look

in msfs2020 with activesky FS its better, they remove all snow instantly. have not tried activesky in 2024.
but come on MS or Asobo, you cannot ignore this issue so long.

I broke down and purchased Active Sky for MSFS 2020 a couple of days ago and FINALLY can fly into or out of Milford Sound with a realistic weather and ground representation. Wish MSFS had taken this more seriously and not require purchasing a separate product to get satisfactory results.

What’s even more embarrassing, is that Milford Sound is part of the New Zeeland World update, and yet this ”bespoke” airport is permanently covered in snow.

Can they just spend a bit more on the snow coverage maps the cheaper one from where they get it does snow like the Sim but more expensive option brings it up to just the peaks in the data so it’s not like the data isn’t there available for them

I can’t believe we are still experiencing this issue. Summer in NZ, temperature according to the current report is 19 degrees C, yet the entire Milford Sound is snow covered, basically a winter wonderland. This is a joke.
