With the sad news that the much anticipated milviz/Blackbird “80-R-72” project, although not canceled, but put on an indefinite hold… pardon the aviation pun😜

I am wondering if the team at milviz could redirect those creative juices and I guess, the all important $£€ and step up the production line on what is ‘my’ highly anticipated release of their next product…

The Boeing 737-200!!!

But not only that…

I would love to hear what you guys… the consumer/buyers and all importantly… the stumpy 737-200 lovers, of this idea I had…

In a crowd funded like escay.
I would have absolutely no issues in, investing my money upfront now into this company and this product, invest in something in my eyes, that I am very passionate about…

If you guys consider not only doing the little stumpy 737-200 some justice…
But doing a complete “The originals” package in pure milviz/Blackbird style and the revolutionary trademarkthat we have come to love in the C310…
The complete “originals” package
A boeing 737-100.
Because you guys are so agonizingly short as in 1.53 meters (6ft 2 inches for you americans) of basically a shortned version of the 200 (classic 700 vs 800 pmdg argument :rofl:)
I couldn’t imagine too much alterations in flight dynamics and not to mention the almost identical cockpits, especially in regards to your sound library regarding cockpit sounds and switches…

737-200
The original, the advanced version, combi and the QC base packages along with the hush-kitted and gravel kit. Whether you implement full flight characteristics (over time) or just simply just visual eye candy along with custom ground services to represent that classic feel or for the operations… i.e cargo hoists for cargo operations

Boeing T-43
If you go that far… although no personal nostalgia to me… I bet there are many who have fond memories of this bird in the USAF…

All done, of course…in the true milviz style “wear tear and of course temperamental high fedality vintage” that we have come to love… Oil top ups, blown fuses, Canadian cargo operators showing their age to liveries that represents that clean straight of the production line feel…

Bonus feature…
A “local livery package”
I.e North America, Oceania/Australia/New Zealand etc… in my case… I would get it with the Oceania/Australia/New Zealand package that would come with. Ansett New Zealand 737-100, two NAC and three Air NZ non hush-kitted liveries, pacific wave hush-kitted livery, and the Airwork/NZ post QC livery…

I would be more than happy to pay now and upfront anywhere up to 130nzd on for a complete package of that level and custom made feel of that proportion to be able to chose a livery package that represents me…

In my 35 years, I am very fortunate to experience 10 years (albeit 5 with the ‘slightly’ muffled hush-kitted) of those Pratt & Whitney JT8Ds thundering down my local airport… not to mention a growing appreciation and addiction in high fedality aircraft in such an amazing virtual reality that is MSFS…
Such an important aircraft like this deserves the full treatment and I am willing to pay for it!!

Who else who love milviz and would love milviz to give the “original stumpy” the full treatment and be willing to pay for it to the point of putting that secure full deposit in to get this bird over the line…

I flew the -200 for a year back in 2000 and several other variants afterwards.

The -200 was the sweetest flying of the lot. I’d love to fly her again!

Absolutely highly excited with this aircraft mate and I am sure you guys will do it justice:grin::grin:

With your modding prowess regards the C310, the ageing/ownership/rent modling you developed with that aircraft, there is so much potential with what could be achived with the 737-200.
I really hope and feel that there is enough market for the 737-200, that you guys see financial potential to expand on this aircraft as either a “complete” package… Or… PMDG style separate “standalone” models
The “originals” 737-100/200 product (100 because you are so so agonizingly close…
basically ONE whole meter short…) along with the various configurations that came with, well, particularly the 737-200, the hush-kitted, gravel-kitted, Combi/cargo T43 configurations that came out, along with some nicely designed ground service vehicles…
Potentially even a glass cockpit. But only purely for the dreaded but most likely future where VOR/NDBs become a distant memory…

I hope you get the 737-200 out asap to the masses and see how well it “takes-off” pardon the pun…
But I do hope there is potential with developing the “originals” series as a complete package…

P.s please please add these liveries I’ll attach below as your included liveries…

Really excited for this.

If you love the -200 and use Instagram, you should absolutely follow the airline Nolinor, they probably love the -200 more than you

Their entire instagram account is basically a love fest/geek fest for the -200, it’s awesome.

I am actually looking forward in doint some regional flying in the 737-200 in the US!!!

Did you actually used to fly these??!!

I’m really looking forward to this beautiful aircraft as well… nothing beats the rocket ship that is the 737-200…

I wonder if milviz would also look into the classics 300,400,500?

Yes, my first job out of the military was with Delta flying Delta Express out of MCO.

I’ve flown other 73s over the years, but I still think the 200 flies best!

Mate that is awesome, I can only imagine it would have been awesome to fly the 737-200, what was one thing you really enjoyed with flying the old girl??
You might enjoy or even bring back some memories of these kiwi bird videos in the cockpit

Well, definitely I thought it flew exceptionally well by hand; especially for my first airliner.

Coming from the military, I expected it to be plodding. But you could move it around pretty well for a machine that size.

Our 73s also didn’t have FMS. So, VOR, NDB, ILS only which means that you had to keep an eye on your tracking.

It was particularly fun on the old north/south Atlantic routes which used cross NDB bearings to tell you how far along the track you were.

Not too accurate!

“The model for the previously announced Boeing 737-200 is being enhanced and overhauled. Decals, rivets, panel lines, and such are being added. The gravel kit and universal FMS will be included (coding is in progress). The glass cockpit is a “maybe” and it’ll come possibly this year or maybe in 2024. The 100, 300, and 500 versions are “not likely,” at least not right away as there are fairly large differences in terms of models.”

Might have to wait a little longer but we will be getting the gravel kit and they may even do a 100 along with the 300 and 500…

Can’t wait

Wow some awesome Aircraft coming! Would love to see their version of an F-14 alongside the 15 though but can’t complain! Lots to look forward to

Heatblur/Indiafoxtecho hopefully will be doing their version of the F14 as I guess you know. Not recently heard much about their progress yet though. Anyway, best not get too far off thread :slightly_smiling_face:
