Milviz PC-6 - Message "Chip detect"

Hello Porter-Fans

I’m getting the yellow warning message “Chip detect” recently. I have searched the manual, but there is no “chip” to be found in the text. Do you happen to know what that means?

Probably overtorque on engine startup, perhaps.

Yes - that sounds very much like me…

If you overtorque the engine to more than 1500 lb-ft for more than c. 30 seconds you will get that warning.
