I been looking at the following mip panel and they look really awesome for what I intended to do but has anyone bought of them
Am wanting to build some kind of back for this so it could set on a desk
Also can anyone help me in terms of the MIP displays of what they using for them
SKALARKI electronics Ltd - A320-232 MIP Panel (skalarki-electronics.com)
I have one and it is very nice. How to support it is an open issue if you don’t also buy into the whole cockpit frame. I did a somewhat complex 3D design of a sheet metal enclosure (100mm deep “tray”) that the MIP panels are fastened to for use with a MonsterTech cockpit frame. The tray encloses all the electronics and provides something sturdy to mount to some additional form of support - either a floor or tabletop stand for example, or in my case the MT cockpit frame.
The biggest issue for me was the LCD screen for the center portion with the ECAMs and backup instruments. There isn’t a good solution on the market for this. The Dell monitor that Skalarki sells through their site sticks out the top (but would be hidden by the glare-shield instruments if present). I have searched the far corners of the internet for a more suitable screen but haven’t found anything better.
The monitor they sell for the PFD/MFD works well and fits nicely. The off-axis viewing angle is rather poor (its a TFT screen), but you sit right in front of it anyway, so its really not an issue. Again, the ECAM is the problem, because you do view that more off axis, which suggests a need for a better screen.
