Missing approach procedure TBM930/Cessna 172

Hi guys, yesterday i flew from Dallas Love Field Airport (KDAL) to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (KMSY) using low altitude IFR plan and ILS11 approach.

When i was in the final approach, ATC tell me “Pull up and go around” because traffic on runway. So, i check ILS11 approach chart from KMSY:

“MISSED APPROACH (Alternative 1): Climb to 800 then climbing right turn to 2000 on heading 130° and on LEV VORTAC R-354 to SAFES INT/LEV 38.5 DME and hold.”

“MISSED APPROACH (Alternative 2): Climb to 2000 on heading 304º on HRV VORTAC R-304 to HARVEY and hold.”

However ATC instruction was: “Climb to 2000 to RQR (VOR)” then “Go to HIVAP and wait VOR approach”.

Why ATC force me to use VOR approach when i miss approach? That is normal?

Sorry for my english.

Right now it’s a limitation in the MSFS ATC. They would normally not change the type of approach you’ve requested and been approved to fly, just because you had a go-around.
Hopefully it’s fixed in the future.
