Maybe I’m wrong, but I think this has always been all cities and skyscrapers. I definitely noticed some cities did that even back in 2020. That’s partially why I bought a few of those generally overpriced city light addons in the Market. I liked their lighting, even if not realistic, and it made it so the center of cities wasn’t almost black.
Well yea, obviously a difference! I wonder when the changed happened - or if there’s another thing causing that bug. Something I thought was normal all this time. I’ll try to get to a couple of cities soon and take a look.
Well, I have to admit, something changed. I KNOW I remember seeing Seattle dark without the Landmarks pack I have. But having removed that, it looks like this:
My photogrammetry is enabled. I think the most interesting shot is the one of Chicago where you can clearly see the stretch of buildings closest to the water have the lights on, then a large patch that are not. Should be easy enough for Asobo to figure it out just from examining that one location.
Seeing the same problem here with nothing in the Community folder and photogrammetry on - both in Montreal and Chicago.
However, can someone verify if they see the same issue in downtown Tokyo? On my side, I see lights on all the buildings. Perhaps there are only some cities affected worldwide?
We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
