Missing Control fuel assignment settings

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to assign the control fuel switches 1 to 4 (below) of Boeing 747-8. To discover what shortcut I could use to make this assignment I tried many different buttons, as well, assigned all buttons relative to engine 1. No success.

After, I tried to search in this forum, then, google, bing, duckduckgo and I had no success either.

Please someone know where can I find this misterious assignment, is it a bug or the devs forgot to add this functionality on the control list?

Thanks in advance

I had a quick play with some keyboard commands, and couldn’t find any bindings yet. But I did find the following via SPAD.

That variable allows you to toggle the state of the fuel switches, with parameters 5-8 corresponding to switches 1-4.

I did find some other variable for the fuel system pump, but as soon as I added one for engine 1 to monitor in SPAD, MSFS crashed. SimConnect still needs some work to make it more stable, or perhaps SPAD does.

Thanks @hobanagerik . In my perspective, if this functionality is not on the control settings, it would be needed to be inserted on the new updates.

How can we suggest the implementation of these switches to dev on the control settings, once they are mandatory to startup the aircraft?

Also, would be very interesting to insert in the roadmap the possibility to assign any mandatory button responsible to start-up the aircrafts under the control settings.

It’s possible I missed something, but I searched for any controls with the number “4” in its name, which narrows it down massively. I tried three that were fuel related, and none affected those four switches.

I have the same problem. I’m trying to find assignment for fuel pumps for B787. I think ASOBO should check the assignments.
I am trying to build an overhead panel for B787 and there are some strange things with assignments.

I have made a small helper that can be good to have. See attached excel file. Download it from dropbox link below

I had success to make many assignments via SPAD but I insist that this should not be done using a third party software.

Some bindings, for example the A320 battery 1/2 do not work anyway, even using this tool. I also tried to make calls using the simconnect API for this functionality but without success.

I hope that Asobo view this post and work with this on the next update. Beautiful world is important but a fully functional aircraft is even more important, specially for home cockpits. This affect absolutelly the immersion and the user experience.

It looks like some time has passed since this question was asked. Using SPAD, does anybody know the command for these fuel control switches on the 747 / 777? “TOGGLE_FUEL_VALVE_ENG1” works for these switches on the 787, but not 747 / 777. They obviously work when clicked on, so there has to be a command for binding, correct?? Thanks!

Same question. Trying to set up a controller that has switches that I want to use for the fuel control switches, but no joy. Are these planned to be added without the need for SPAD? Mousing them works, but it’d be nicer to have a physical switch mapped to these controls. . .
