Missing waypoints in FMC after entering a flightplan from the EFB on Airbus aircraft

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: During IFR flights my aircraft was not following the magenta path until it came close to approach/landing. I then discovered in my FMC that all the waypoints inbetween departure and arrival were non existant. I’ve tried different destinations, sids and stars but all with the same outcome. Upon importing flightplans from the EFB, a huge chunk of the waypoints do not cross over. In the picture I’ve attached you can see there should be a load of waypoints between the t/c and t/d.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
A320neo & A321LR

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? I have no mods

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? Everytime

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

1.Create a an IFR flight plan in EFB, Find route
2.Export to Avionics
3.Flightplan in FMC will be there but missing waypoints between departure and arrival points. Upon beginning the flight the aircraft will fly a direct route to the STAR/Arrival point which can be thousands of miles.

I think it is fair to say that autopilot is not finished. It is easy to cause CTDs, can’t enter fixes as waypoints and a whole host of in-sim and SimConnect API issues.

Behaviour can change depending on where you create the flight plan such as external planner, main menu planner, in the GPS itself. And all fail one way or another frequently. Editing a plan either corrupts the plan or causes a CTD. Pretty annoying…

I’ve got faith it will get better. It’s just that I have no excitement in spending another 4 years mostly bug testing for free rather enjoying the game I paid for and that’s what is worrying me right now. tbh.

Update:

Also happens on the A330 so im going to assume this is perhaps an Inibuilds issue. Tried the 737 Max and the flightplan entered fine with no missing waypoints.

Cheers

A321 is accepting Simbreif flightplans for me now. EFB flightplans are still missing waypoints, though.

I wondered if anyone was getting issues like this. I don’t know if it’s the same but I enter a flightplan for the Cessna 172 into the EFB on the map screen then go into a flight and on my EFB and screen, there are missing waypoints making AP useless. I’m not sure why this happens. Even without using EFB and just plotting the route on the map, the waypoints are missing. This never happened in 2020 so I’m clueless as to what I could be doing wrong or what I’m missing.

Yes, I have experienced that.
Don’t make your plan until you have spawned the aircraft, or if you use the new external MSFS planner, or Simbrief, don’t load your plan until you have the aircraft spawned.

It’s not clear if this is a bug or a conscious decision by IniBuilds/Osobo/WorkingTitle/MS to force IniBuilds airbuses to use SimBrief and ignore the nice in game EFB and online WorkingTitle flight planning tools. It’s a major disappointment to take all the time to build a detailed flight plan using what appears to be the MSFS 2024 tools only to find that it gets sent to the game ATC but not to the aircraft.
The problems with using SimBrief instead is that the game ATC does not have the plan and SimBrief keeps nagging me to renew my Navigraph subscription to get the latest AIRAC data to match the sim.
I’ve had some limited success building my plan in EFB, sending it to in game ATC and then manually entering the plan in the IniBuilds Airbuses to try to get it to match. But ATC usually abandons me somewhere around where I should begin to decend.
Why why why?? It’s so frustrating to be fighting with undocumented and/or poorly coded/incomplete or untested software.
I’m on Xbox where few planes have ever integrated with SimBrief/ Navigraph. I was so thrilled to discover the new EFB and online flight planning alternative!!! Then so disappointed to discover that it does not work at all with any of the IniBuilds planes I so wanted to fly.
:disappointed:
Is this on purpose? Is a bug? Is there any plan to change the situation? Can anyone tell us what is going on? You’ve got my money. Is that the end of the communication? :unamused:

• Yes, every time with all Airbuses.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Happens with all IniBuilds Airbus aircraft. EFB flight plan gets sent to ATC but not the aircraft. SimBrief gets send to aircraft but not to EFB or ATC. The only workaround is to build a plan in EFB then manually rebuild the plan again to try to match in the aircraft FMS.
