Mission denied due to IFR (career)

I’m trying to complete a mission, but ATC authorization is denied because I’m in IFR. How can I complete this mission? I tried changing the time of day, but even though it’s indicated as VFR on the world map, I’m still in IFR during the mission. What should I do?ur post with either msfs-2020 or msfs-2024 if you would like to discuss a specific sim.

I had luck by just using the ATC window and requesting IFR clearance instead. The mission proceeded as usual after that.
