ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
On Medevac missions of the variant where the patient develops a life-threatening condition and the flight must be reverted or changed, mission goals do not always update appropriately, making the mission impossible to finish.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
Yes. Issue occurs on the vanilla version with no mods or add-ons installed.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
The issue occurs occasionally on certain variants of the Medevac career missions.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Starting any Medevac mission.
  2. As the mission and flight go on, usually around reacing cruising altitute sometimes the Medevac mission turns into the variant where the patient develops life-threatening complications and the medical teams asks for immediate landing.
  3. In the type of mission as point 2 above, sometimes the mission goals do not update to send the flight to the departure or another emergency airport, but keeps the normal cruise as current mission goal. The ATC communication which the emergency variant of the medevac mission would sometimes trigger does in these cases not appear, either, and the player has no option to declare the pan pan or initiate the emergency landing at another airport.

Most probably not relevant, but using a Thrustmaster T.1600 stick and Thrustmaster pedals, alongside with mouse and keyboard.

I had the same tonight on a flight form Nassau Bahamas to Mobile AL.

I was told I needed to declare an emergency, I contacted ATC with the pan-pan, but I never heard from them back again and never got any clearance back to the departure airport or to any airport nearby.

I have had this three times in the last week. Just had it now. Once the emergency event is declared, the mission objectives are not updated meaning I cannot finish the mission. This Sim is soooooo buggy!!!

• When declaring pan-pan to ATC, you never get a reply. So when you divert to the closest airport by yourself you got mission failure due to landing at the wrong airport

• No options to do PAN PAN via communication window. So I checked nearest airport and asked ATC for permission to land, was assigned runway 34R at Tokyo Intl. but after landing correctly the mission failed because I was not supposed to land there. This is completely bugged.

Either mission should update which airport to land at or let me manually do the communication with ATC to land at a nearby airport in such emergency situations.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

I take a medevac mission in career mode, after a short flight the patient need a fast landing. Many times got this message but usually nothing happened, but now we radio to ATC need a reroute and the route changed to a new airport. So I follow the new path, landing on the airport … then I cannot finish the mission, because the game want to reach the ORIGINAL airport short stop! I follow the taxi pattern and stop close to the possible parking spot, stop engine, but still the script stucked to stop the short. So I lost all the mission and 1 hour of my life.

When you got the message to re-route, did you update EFB flight plan and re-send to ATC and avionics? Picked the new runway when you were close to final, switch to HDG, upload to ATC and avionics, then switch back to GPS.

Hi, yes I upload to the ATC and avionics. You can see on the screen, the airplane GPS also show the correct path to the airport where I landing.

There has been a couple of reports of this same issue. I can’t recall whether there is a bug report but you could look and see whether you can add yours if you do fi d one.

Yeah its true. But that reports are olds like january, maybe some fresh blood will wake up the devs :slight_smile:

Fun fact, today I got PAM-PAM again, but I just ignore, but accidently 2 leg before the original airport I push enter so I ask reroute from ATC. That is just before the original Airport not far from it, but different. I got new route, I sent it to ATC and avionic, and it is not bugged this time. I can use radio, got landing permission and the short was the same airport where I was, and I just finish the mission.

So looks sometimes working, I am not sure why … maybe If you fly more something triggered or just luck.

Durante uma missão de Medevac em IFR, declarei PAN-PAN e a doutora a bordo pediu para aterrar no aeroporto mais perto. Segui a instrução e aterrei na pista/aeroporto mais próximo e seguro. Apesar disso, a missão foi marcada como FAILED.

Passos para reproduzir

  1. Iniciar uma missão Career → Medevac em IFR (PS5).

  2. Durante o voo, declarar PAN-PAN quando solicitado/necessário.

  3. Receber a instrução/mensagem para divert/land at the nearest airport.

  4. Selecionar um aeroporto próximo (Nearest) e aterrar com segurança na pista.

  5. Observar o resultado da missĂŁo apĂłs parar na pista/taxi/parque (dependendo do que a missĂŁo pede).

Resultado atual (Actual Result)

A missão falha (“Mission Failed”) mesmo tendo aterrado no aeroporto mais próximo, conforme instruído.

Resultado esperado (Expected Result)

Se a missão instrui “aterrar no aeroporto mais próximo”, então:

  • aterrar em qualquer aeroporto razoavelmente prĂłximo e seguro deve contar como sucesso, OU

  • o jogo deve indicar claramente qual aeroporto alternativo especĂ­fico Ă© válido (objetivo/waypoint atualizado no EFB/HUD e confirmação no ATC).

Impacto

Quebra a lógica de emergência, frustra o jogador por seguir a instrução correta e prejudica a experiência de Career/Medevac.

Workarounds tentados

  • Aterrar em diferentes pistas/aeroportos prĂłximos → continua a falhar.

  • Nota: no PS5, o painel ATC/Comms pode ser difĂ­cil de usar em emergĂŞncia (opções crĂ­ticas podem nĂŁo aparecer/ficar inacessĂ­veis), tornando o desvio correto ainda mais confuso.

SugestĂŁo construtiva (UX / Design)

  • Em emergĂŞncia (PAN-PAN/Medevac), o jogo deveria:

    • atualizar explicitamente o objetivo para “Divert to: XXXX” (EFB/HUD/briefing),

    • listar 2–3 alternativos (mais perto / melhor pista / melhores condições),

    • e avaliar sucesso por segurança e tempo, nĂŁo por um destino “scriptado” nĂŁo comunicado.

  • A mensagem de falha deveria explicar: qual era o aerĂłdromo esperado e por que o pouso atual nĂŁo foi aceito.

PC-12 career mode (freelance). Reached 3000 feet and told life threatening condition and we need to land ASAP. Dialogue box in upper right corner says “Press to contact ATC for medical reroute” - did so and ATC replies acknowledged PAN PAN. I expect something along the lines of “re-route at your discretion” from ATC - nope “Climb to 30,000 feet”.

So aborted mission instead of flying to wrong airport and taking a hit or getting a hit for not taking into account the patient’s condition.

Also, I don’t need to hear “Yes, he’s allergic to antalgic, aspirin in fact” six times during flights.

you dont have to abort the mission. just fly to the airport and all is good. you will pass the mission. happened to me several times. i never had problems
