Same issue here but on Xbox version 1.2.8.0 flying a medium cargo mission from somewhere in South Carolina to the Bahamas.
Just had the same issue.
There are arrows for taxi and parking but no boxes.
I canāt skip as it is stuck on āApproach - Fly toā, there is no ALT-N possible.
I took off again and landed a 2nd time but it did not fix the problem.
Looks like Iāll have to abort the flight.
Just happened to me. When I landed and hit the guidance markings, instead of a hold point or parking space, it was directing me to go to the final approach fix 3nm away over the ocean. We are all just beta testers for this thing.
Just wasted 3 hours of flying because when I land at the destination markers for taxi were changinmg and they dissapear now and no matter where I stay I canāt complete the mission.
And when I was at the airport looking around mission crashed and I got teleported to the beginning. No way Iām going to waste another 3 hours on same mission.
Like really?
Yes, I had exactly the same yesterday. Arrows to parking but no box. So I took off again and flew back to the last waypoint which triggered a tick next to āArrive at ā¦ā but then I got an Error Code and the mission ended. I repeated the same mission (yawn) and landed ok. The parking box appaeared this time and was exactly where the arrows led me to previously. Like you I had no option to Alt-N. Very frustrating.
I canāt get beyond this, if missions appear, I canāt complete them. I have different variations of fly to pattern or final, but it will eventually stop registering that I have done this. Iām not sure here if it was trying to get me to taxi to final too⦠Sometimes it will show āpress enter to contact ATCā and no matter how many times I do, it doesnāt register.
I have found a workaround for this bug for the moment. When you land at the intended airport and the mission doesnāt end. start the engines and fly again and then follow the atc chain of commands to land back at the intended runway. This should lead to solving the progression of the mission and then completing it. I tried this 5 times at 5 different instances. It worked all 5 times.
Nup, your workaround does not work for me. I suggest to cancel IFR first chance you get and fly VFR in your own way and time. It usually is ok unless something else goes T1tsUp along the way.
To Microsoft
SHAME ON YOU FOR THIS WASTE OF PEOPLEāS VALUABLE TIME.
I also had to come up with a workaround yesterday after flying 6hrs from NZ to Australia, medical flight PC-24, only to realise on arrival that I was receiving no ATC messages, no approach pattern and mission updates.
I still landed full of hope, got a taxi line to a parking position but nothing more. Before I despaired, I restarted the engines, took off again and was able to query IFR again via the ATC window. I received mission updates again (reach 4500ft, fly to ādestination Aptā and from then on I was able to complete the mission properly.
Same here Iāve had several long flights not logging at all. Once you land it does give you the warning about an aviatorperformance penalty, but the no credits, no ending. Very frustrating. Iāve tried it in VR which does not work at all and on my monitor. Iāve not been able to complete a long Medivac flight for several days now. At least 5 flights not logging⦠Iām at the point of giving up⦠(long time MSFS enthusiast :()
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OPās steps to reproduce it?
⢠Different airport but same result.
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
⢠Has only happened once but is exactly as the OP has stated including trying to take off and land again. Taxi path displays but the blue taxi box does not appear when you reach the end of the path. Mission step still says "Land at " followed by airport name.
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

I did a two hour VIP flight with the Vision Jet to Lugano. Everything went fine until about 3 miles before the RWY. Then I got handed over to another controller, but it was a center, not the approach or tower of the airport. Then there was no contact anymore. I landed, got the taxi ribbons at the end of the runway. I could request taxiing from the communication menu to a parkingspot but the it was not listed as an item in the mission anymore. After parking the flight did not log⦠Frustrating. Iāve not been able to complete any flight since last week.
Same problem after 1 hour flight. During flight ATC start to talk to me without audio. I cancelled IFR and all good until I stand landed and off the runway. āMission Stepā asking me to announce taxi to parking but āCommunication ATCā and āMission Stepsā dialog not responding. Second time for me. If I move I get penalty for not announcing taxi to parking. This bug destroying my eligibility in career mode and downgrading my progress.
Update: I was waiting to check for a work around about this issue but now I get message server error and disconnect me from the server. So that, means I have to start over and get mission failed/crash bonus anyway.
Another failed mission. First progress stuck at āBefore Taxiā, resolved with skip to taxi which helped at first.
Second, ATC give a taxi clearance to cross rwy, game count it as violation and cancel all following ATC calls for take off clearance. Rest of the flight was ok untill parked at destination airport. After engine shutdown game suddenly plays the voice over for instruction about the VIP passenger as if I just started engine. FPS drops to 8fps and no progress for minutes.
Option to skip to take off push the plane back to origin airport and immediately gives warning about the wrong location..
Mission failedā¦
It will be really cool if the ATC and progress is somehow monitored on client rather somewhere in the cloud as it seems, theres numerous issues with ATC not giving clearance yet ask for read back. Mission progres does take into account clearance was handled with ATC and keeps asking for obtaining one but its stuck with no action. VIP charter asks for airline procedures but they bug all the time and it is not possible to play the prerecorded messages about flight level, descent etc.
