Modifying Aircraft Instrument Panel

I have built a hardware cockpit using 2 Real Sim Gear G1000, an Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle and Thrustmaster Rudder. I would like to fly any of the Business Jets with Glass Cockpits. They all seem to have G3000 or G5000 instruments but I would like to use my G1000 and have the business jet contain the G1000.

Has any one switched a G3000 to G1000 in an aircraft? Can anyone provide direction to switch?

Is it as simple as switching the instruments in the panel.cfg file. I have significant experience with FSX and panels and .xml gauges. Just can’t yet figure out how to tie a gauge to an aircraft.

Hi, I have nearly the same hardware setup and exactly the same issue. I bought Cockspurs Mustang with the G1000 Avionics, and it works fine so far to fly the plane.
I was thinking as well to downgrade an existing plane from G3000/G5000, but it seems to be not an easy task.
