Monaco buildings question

SO, they updated Monaco. My buildings in Monaco look terrible. Typical Photogen issues where nothing looks good. This is terrible. My internet is 300+ and I have a high end system. Also, since SU15, my FPS has tanked.
DLSS is up to date and all settings are as they were before the update. Your thoughts?

Yes Sir! All downloads are complete.

I did, and have to say that the rendering on my config (i9/4090, Terrain LOD200, Objects LOD400) is
 surprising.

Here’s a pic of the Casino’s Place.

You can see that “morphing” thing on the buildings. There’s also something I’ve seen becoming more and more common, “flying trees”.

What’s intriguing even more : in my Content Manager, i see the City Update installed and up-to-date, but it’s very small (136kb), compared to some other updates (CU2 is 2GB+, for example). It might be that buildings and POI’s are actually in other packages, though.

Anyone willing to share there view of Monaco, to see if I have an issue and should fill a bug report, or if it’s my expectations that are a bit too high ?

This is what I am seeing as well. It’s horrendous to say the least. Seems like scenery isn’t even loading

I do think that this is waht we should expect (in the sense of “not a bug”).

This shot is taken from the City Update 7 trailer :

Buildings on the left are not square, it seems.
I’ve tried with an empty community, with no change at all.

Either I’m right about this not being a bug, either you’re right and for some reason, the actual scenery isn’t installed / does not load.

@Hester40MT, genuine question, what in your opinion would be the most respectful way to get the opinion of someone knowledgable, here ?

Wow yeah, that is axactly what I am seeing. When I departed NICE, the scenery looked good. Adjusting settings, verifying internet connection etc etc had no effect. Is this the limited ability of Asobo’s artists? LOL

Have you deleted your rolling cache since the update?

Yes
And tried With and Without CACHE turned on

I did, too (to be exact : i never use rolling cache, as I’m lucky to have a very strong internet connection). As the question is surely coming : I never used the infamous mod to change map datas, either

I’ve seen no handcrafter buildings, except maybe the stadium, which looks a bit better than the rest. But I’m sure of nothing there. An other hint, I think that, would artists have been involved on this, the heliport would be added to the database.

That’s why, to me, it does not look like a bug. Monaco was not one of the major cities of this update, it looks like it’s auto-generated from newer bing datas. And it’s all okay, then.

Agreed by Monaco WAS added to the Cities update released last week. NICE, BARCELONA, Madrid etc. I am about to fly Madrid and will report back.

Barcelona and Madrid are fine. However, when I loaded the city and spawned, I had ZERO PG. I switched from the EAST COAST server to the WEST COAST and the scenery loaded.

Sure
it is the same and ‘correct’.

It’s pretty normal for PG. It’s not possible to really be totally perfect with current tech. Firstly it has to be streamable to thousands of people at the same time. Second it has to be low enough poly (optimised) to run on Xbox and not the totally best PC’s. Third its a matter of actually getting the data.

At the end of the day, it’s really not designed to be inspected from this close up. From the air, it really gives a great impression of the place. That is the goal of it really. Use your imagination to fill in the rest! I think it’s superb that we have all this.

If you want to see the best clarity the MSFS Photogrammetry can offer, you need to visit Pamplona in Spain (nearest airport LEPP).

It is NOT done by “artists”. It’s purely data. Perhaps with a bit of hand tidying (but if so, they do tend to miss a lot of obvious artefacts so I doubt anyone is closely checking this stuff haha). Not “Hand crafted” at all so

yes!

Yeah noticed this too. Really bad in Coimbra, Portugal.

EDIT: You KNOW you are in Monaco when you can see a Ferrari SF90 in the satellite imagery lol
