I live in the South Shore of Montreal, when flying at night … the city is dark… power fail?
I havent really tried other cities , but is it normal?
I’ve done night landings at CYUL before and don’t remember it being dark. It’s usually lit up.
I’m on the south shore as well and have flown the area a bit, haven’t had any issues with night flights.
Glad to know that there are fanatics on the South Shore of Montreal
Actually your are correct SIR!
CYUL is well lit, i was talking about Montreal city, the island of Montreal, Night time, its dark!
I meant the city as well. I’m in Eastern Ontario and my main base of operations is CYGK. I regularly fly to Montreal, including at night. In fact, I’m there so often it’s my most modded city in game. I have every Montreal add-on scenery pack from flightsim.to installed to make it as accurate as possible. I’ve never experienced the city dark at night. Ever. In fact, I was last there a few days ago testing out the mod posted below which adds night lighting for the Molson brewery. I would have noticed if the rest of the city was dark and only the brewery sign lit up.
That said, I’ll load up Montreal tonight and test it out for you and take some screen shots.
That’s a good question I never thought to ask; do photogrammy cities light up at night like the rest of the autogen buildings with lights in their windows? Or does it just go pitch black save the street lights?
Well, turns out we were sent home from work because heat isn’t working in our buildings, so managed to get to this earlier than expected.
As you can see, Montreal is completely lit up as it should be.
Do have any pics of downtown? I work there and live 2 min from CYHU.
From my home I can see Olympic stadium and downtown, they are sure brighter than flying over them same time live weather.
Anyway, after 50 flights from CYHU to Cyul it’s time to see the world.
Thanks for the feedback.
