I landed on two separate Monuments.

I acknowledge your achievement, but hell, I feel sorry for your graphic settings

I have a new-ish computer - even with a good graphics card, but wow…this game…

What are you using exactly? I run quite smooth with Ryzen 5-3600 and an quite outdated RX580 card. Settings mostly in the “High” Range.
I wouldn’t want to run FS with this look, to be honest :frowning:

I can set higher and it is fine - however, if flying a 747 in a NYC landing challenge…then there are LOTS of stutters/stops.

I am curious the difference - could you try the taking a photo of a monument (the landing is difficult, so if you did a fly by…)

Oh - if you try the landing - the plane has to go REALLY slow…so most won’t do it. The ICON only barely worked (as you can see - I almost rolled off the edge). The landing was quite fun…I did on two separate monuments.

I will give it a try this WE, hopefully. Haven’t taken a flight since the update honestly…

Great landing, thought about a landing similar yesterday when flying around monument valley.

Picture taken a couple of months ago. Its lumen field (century link field) in Seattle. Found it impossible with icon but finally managed it, interesting approach through Seattle.

I tried to land on top of at&t but roofs not solid.

I tried that plane first, as it can land REALLY slow - but it is so front heavy, it tipped forward twice - even without brakes. So I switched to the Icon.

LOL on trying to land on the roof. I had no idea with the monuments. Until I had my first tire skid, I was curious if it was something I would pass through, instant death, etc. Good on MS for making it possible.

Now I want to try foodball fields!

Check out a reply below - guy landed in a football field.

Soo just a few snaps from flying around there…

I did try some landings…heww, tough stuff, didn’t manage not to break the landing gear…maybe I try again some other time.

EDIT: John, it looks like you don’t use photogrammatry? So I am not sure if the monument tops in “your world” are even flatter than in my environment; that could make it even tougher :innocent:

Most of the stadiums are a bit of a steep descent, anything open ended though like Seattle is do able.

Foxboro’ a good one.

Tried looking for Raymond James stadium in tampa to come in over the pirate ship but don’t think it was modelled.

I’ll have to try monument valley but need to switch photogram off as it looked too bumpy with it on.

Jeeeeze!! I didnt know they released MSFS for the Nintendo Wii!

Seriously though, how can you play this with visuals like that?

Yea…better graphics on your machine than mine! But, we have what we have…

I actually kicked mine to highest graphics and then flew to the Biltmore. Yea. Fly a few feet…wait a minute…fly a few more feet - I went back to ‘medium.’

I tried to go to the Big House in Michigan, but I believe it isn’t there. It is near a golf course and then just a big blank spot.

It is very bumpy on some of the ‘monuments’ but you will see a spot or two smooth enough. Some have a slope that is too high and the plane tips forward (even without brakes). On the Icon, in the one shot, I barely stopped before going over the edge.

Yes, not all stadiums are there, that would have made a nice straight in.

Seattle might be a challenge graphics wise and mmight need photog on unfortunately even so take off from tacoma and head into the city, cant miss it, might go over there in a bit .

Foxboro’s ok also

That’ll keep you safe from the roving park rangers. They were not too impressed when we tried to hike up there!

How did you get such a smooth top-surface? I’m using ULTRA settings and the prominences that I flew over looked pretty rough for landing on. I’m using the official USA UPDATE version - is your scenery an earlier sim version or a mod? I use 200 LOD for TERRAIN and OBJECTS but 100 for RENDER SCALING.

You have to find the right monument.
