Just released some scenery around Moosehead lake in northernish Maine; Greenville Seaplane Base and Currier’s Seaplane Base on the south end of Moosehead, and, because I had to reassign 59B’s AWOS which was on the CTAF channel (like it’s listed in real life), I did that one, which is 30 mi west of Moosehead in Jackman, ME, and then since 60B Moose River Seaplane Base was right next door, I did that one, too.
Looking for a place to fly your floatplane DC-3? Here you go… Or maybe grab a bunch of friends and do the International Seaplane Fly-in in September… 22 Dock spots on Moosehead between 52B and 21M with 3 of them with fuel, plus three amphibious land locations you can drive in and out of, and another 4 docks at Moose River plus the runway at Newton Field. Also includes several heliport spots, including one at Northern Light CA Dean Hospital Helipad for LifeFlight flying…
I’m hoping to clean up and finish the DC-3 N130Q livery at some point.
If anyone is interested in creating other liveries for the area, I’ve been collecting N-numbers from the various services in the area…

A cool flight to do in the area is to head up north towards ME22 Avery Field just north of which you’ll find, in the middle of Moosehead Lake, Mt Kineo State Park. You may think the trees cascading down the side of the mountain are an FS thing, nope, they’re real… It’s also home to what is thought to be the second oldest golf course in the U.S.
