More Comprehensive Checklists in EFB

The EFB is a great addition to the simulator but the checklists across planes is not consistent and missing items.

All planes should have a standard checklist by flight phase, that cover the same items you would check in a real plane.

Suggested Improvements

  • All planes are required to have a checklist that adheres to standard phase of flight standards: (Preflight, Before Starting Engines, Before Taxi, Taxi, Engine Runup (when applicable), Before Takeoff, Takeoff, Climb, Cruise, Descent, Approach, Before Landing, After Landing/Clear of Runway, Parking/Shutdown
  • Checklists can be saved into PDF format and printed out in some easy method
  • Emergency and Trouble-shooting checklists are a nice to have but not as important as the standard phase of flight

On a side note: In VR it would be nice to pop the EFB into a floating window in the cockpit.

I think you should change the title to something like “More comprehensive checklists in the EFB”. The checklists are already in the EFB, they are just lacking and more so in certain aircraft than others.

Regarding the pop-out in VR, you can do that already but the result is not usable at the moment. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a bug report on that already however.

Would be nice if they could add checklists as well to planner.flightsimulator.com.
