More frustrations with ATC and Navigation, Aden, Yemen OYAA

Several issues flying into Aden, Yemen (747-8F, PC Ryzen 9800x3d, Radeon 7900xt, 32 G Ram)

  1. Even though I selected to allow ATC to choose the appropriate runway and not stay locked to my flight plan, I was directed to a runway with an 11 knot tailwind, whereas the runway actually in use IRL (8) would have had an 11 knot headwind.
  2. I was turned over to Aden tower on a two mile approach. At about 160 knots, you do the math. I should have been turned over more than ten miles out, at least.
  3. I was told to resume an altitude, even as I was given VFR clearance, which means the altitude is my decision
  4. Ry 26 has RNAV and VOR-DME Nav capability, but we are only given visual on the sim.
  5. The copilot received and read back the instructions for Aden Approach, but as usual, did not contact them. I had to. Whenever the copilot has the radio duties, they have the radio duties, period. They should be the ones contacting Approach.
