It’s nice that you can now also use a towplane to get into the air. But there could be a few more. Not all places have a Cessna available. A wider choice like a Robin or Diamond would bring variety. Even Ultralights can be used as towplanes. It shouldn’t be a big challenge to get that working.

You’re right, of course, that modders are sometimes faster and it seems better than what the actual developers do. When the MSFS had no thermals at all, you could only create thermals with the Kinetic Assitant. But that was too cumbersome for me and I programmed an “online thermal generator” with my son (still online), with which you could do it faster for the Kinetic Assistant. I haven’t needed either for a long time now and even if the weather and thermals are still not optimal, or some things still don’t exist, in my case gliding has become much better. I have flown all MSFS since version 5.1, so I am thankful for what is possible today. MSFS was announced as a 10 year project, just over 2 years have passed and we are at SU12.Will everything be so satisfying for EVERYONE at SU60? Probably not. But it probably won’t be with SU600 either, when everyone gets on a plane in the holodeck
During this long time for ten years, we are accompanied by many feelings and unfulfilled expectations. I feel the same way sometimes. But perhaps one has more patience in old age. I wish that for everyone here.

I have the marketplace version of the GotFriends Wilga and it shows up as a launch selection and works well. At least it does when it actually decides to drive straight, the slightest crosswind and it seems to suddenly develop aerophobia.
Hi, thanks for the info. I also have the Wilga and the same problem. But regardless of purchased aircraft, there are already many in the FS that can be used in everyday situations on small airfields. If I then want to take off in the simulator at my home airfield, it would be nice if I could simply select the suitable aircraft so that it is more real for my airfield.
By the way, the problem has already been pointed in the support requests on discord at GotFriends. I would like to hope that something will be done soon.

Hi,
You can try to add the following line to the [FLTSIM.0] paragraph of the aircraft.cfg file on the planes you’d want to change to tow planes:
isTowPlane = 1
It may not work on all planes, and some of them may behave strangely. But if you don’t like it, you can always delete that line again.

One wonders why the devs chose a Cessna. And one wonders about the competence of the virtual pilot who always seems to aim at the ground shortly after takeoff.
