Mosel River near Koblenz Winningen (EDRK), Germany goes up a hill

Scenery Germany EDRK. The river Mosel (near the Scenery Deutsches Eck) next to the EDRK airfield now goes up the mountain, almost to the height of the airfield. The airfield is on a mountain, the river in the valley.

I can confirm the situation is unchanged as of March 2024. Approached Winnenden (EDRK) from the West and saw the Mosel climbing a hill.

I think this anomaly would fall within the parameters of this bug. Have a look at this pic in that thread.

There is a MOD for this on flightsim that makes it okay again. I come from this area

Hey MS Team,

Just checked my home region in Germany. Absolutly stunning what this 1m DEM does to the scenery. But then I flew to Koblenz, EDRK. I know DACH is a big region, but this not satisfactory. Because this issue isn’t new. The river Mosel has a big mountain that is conntected to the landscape north of it. Even the bridge of motorway A61 is still a Bratwurst over the river. I flew all the way to Tier (EDRT) and the Mosel region looks beautiful as in real.

Please provide a fix to it to make this WU great again.

Old bug:

Hi @FlugiGER,
Thanks for posting this. I’m unclear from your description as to the difference between this bug report and the “old” bug you reference. Can you expand a bit on your description and explain the difference? Thanks!

Just rechecked it. It’s basicly the same bug. It’s created by the airfield EDRK.
There is somehow old data for this airfield with a polygon, flatten or exclude that creates this bug.

I just tested the world hub airfield from 11th January 2024 created by the Bot. When I open this project the DEM issue is gone and all the mesh looks normal. I provided a small tree fix for runway 24. Can you please test it and include this into the next Nav Data Update. This would be perfect.

The issue is somehow deeper in the sim. The airport update didn’t help.

It would be nice if the “roller coaster river” could be fixed.

It’s still present. Even after the World Update with the very good DEM Data of Germany. Please take a look into the data or airport to identify this issue. It’s really stange that third party scenery’s however can fix this issue but not an updated world hub airport.
