Motion Sim - Acceleration and Braking effect

I am just about finished my Home Cockpit with 2DoF motion. I say just about finished, but to be honest I don’t think I will ever complete it :wink: . My sim is made up of some off the shelf controls from saitek, Logitech and a bunch of home made controls using MobiFlight and some custom software.

The motion platform is completely custom built and utilizes Pitch and Roll telemetry data from Sim Connect. I want to add in some small effects like braking and acceleration. For examples, when applying a hard braking in a C172, the nose will pitch down. I want to add this effect to my sim. I looked a using “G FORCE” but this can be experienced in flight. I also looked at using “VELOCITY BODY Y” but the data did not reflect what I was seeing in FS.

Has anyone implemented something like this? If so what variables did you use?

Nice setup. I built an app for my own small-scale testing with mini linear servos. I am currently looking for a way to scale it up - anyway, I’m pretty sure there’s Acceleration XYZ variables that I used that you can tap into with the SDK. I’d have to go verify. I haven’t looked at in in a while.
