Mouse and keyboard with cable or without

Hello

I’m currently building my new system exclusively for MSFS 2020.
Does it matter if I use a mouse and keyboard with cable or does it not matter much?

I use the Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse & Keyboard.

Works great.
Both use batteries and are not rechargeable.
Mouse battery last about 1 1/2 years.
Keyboard battery last several years.

The short answer is no. I’m still using the first keyboard I ever bought, an AT model with a PS2 adapter. My mouse is USB as I wanted an optical one, and AFAIK they no longer exist other than USB.

The (admittedly very slight) advantage of the keyboard is that it uses a system interrupt, as opposed the polling which a USB device uses. Not that you’d notice on a modern machine. And yes, it’s beige.

I have always used a wireless mouse and keyboard. No downsides that I can see and a couple of less wires lying around.

I personally like a wired keyboard and a wireless Bluetooth mouse.

Thank you very much for your answers.
