Mouse Cursor Not Working in VR - v1.6.3.0

In the first SU 4 beta, using ALVR the mouse no longer works. The hand / VR tracking is mandatory, and as a result XBOX controller and mouse input no longer works properly. This causes the sim to essentially become unplayable if one is not using VR controllers.

  • One for platform (ms-store, steam, xbox , or xcloud)

  • One for aircraft if related (start typing in your aircraft name in the tag section and pick correct option)

Same here.

Mouse no longer shows in VR at all but the controllers work. Tried switching in and out VR a few times, but no dice.

Mouse works fine in 2D.

Please give me my mouse back!

Also for me. No mouse cursor in VR therefore I cannot interact with any controls. Also note that the Quest 3 controllers remain visible the whole time in VR. This did not happen with any previous versions and might be related to the mouse issue.

Edit: I should have stated I use virtual desktop, sorry.

I haven’t had any issues using mouse with my Quest 3. What is ALVR?

Mouse worked for me in VR with Pimax super and latest Pimax play.

If you are using VD, disable Track Controllers in the VD streaming settings. That fixed it for me.

Some people use ALVR with Quest instead of Virtual Desktop, I don’t know if it offers any benefits over the VD.

I should of clarified that I use meta link cable to connect, no issues with mouse with that method for me.

I have the same problem using VIrtual Desktop.

As soon as I use the Quest 3 controller (either left or right), the mouse cursor no longer displays.

Also, once this occurs, the controller ā€˜beam’ and round dot always stays on. It never goes away as it used to.

Once I interact with the Quest controllers, disabling TRACK CONTROLLERS in VD Stream settings does not solve the mouse problem for me.

I use VD on quest 3 and have the same issue

Unlike @HugeMercury163 I DO have this issue in the Crystal Super with the latest Pimax play. The left mouse button still works ok (zoom), but no pointer. Also, as soon as the mouse is moved it switches the raycast interaction on.

Same here, mouse works fine before and after VR but within VR the mouse is inactive in the headset, although you can see it ā€œtrackingā€ as a white dot across the monitor screen (not the headset)

Quest 2 via Meta Link Cable

I am having the quest controller appear in space occasionally and a repeated device disconnect pop up.

Could this be an issue with handling peripherals that borks the mouse on VD but not on link cable.

After rolling back to SU3 I read your post. Reinstalled the beta and tried it and it works good enough. I just wanted to move on from SU3 and its LOD issues. So a big thank you.
