Mouse cursor resetting to head position in VR

Hi, since installing the 40th-anniversary edition my HP Reverb G2 mouse cursor is uncontrollable. In VR I can move the mouse cursor but every 2 seconds or so it resets to the head position in the middle of my FoV. It’s making VR pretty annoying right now. When moving my head I get the cursor fixed to the central position in front of me.

My preferred choice is to use the mouse so why has this changed? Pretty sure this is the MSFS update and not some WMR settings. I’ve gone through the MSFS settings and I couldn’t find a way to disable cursor head tracking, maybe I’m missing something. I play exclusively in VR so if you have any advice, it would be much appreciated, thanks.

My mouse pointer behaves just as it did prior to the update, which is to say that it pops back into my view if I move the mouse when the pointer isn’t in sight, but if I look down, move the mouse pointer and then look back up the pointer will remain where I left it for as long as I don’t move the mouse. Is your behavior different?

Thanks, @gweilo8888. Unfortunately, it’s not the same. The cursor moves in line with the headset. If I move the mouse then the moment I stop the movement it picks up the head movement again and resets to that position.

I can’t see any change from before either, it can’t be the SU11.

I have found no difference in mouse behavior since SU11 either.

WMR and G2 user, mouse acts the same way it has for many updates, no different for me in SU11

Thanks all for your replies. So not an issue with SIM Update 11. Nevertheless, my issue remains.

Are any of you Reverb G2 owners who use a mouse for cockpit interactions? Do you have the same issue where the mouse cursor is fighting the head cursor in VR?

Guys, I’ve fixed the issue!

So I had an Xbox 360 controller plugged in. Yes I’m using a PC with Logitech X55 input controllers but if you also have an Xbox 360 USB controller plugged in then it assumes the cursor is being used for head tracking and fights the actual mouse cursor.

I don’t remember this being an issue before and I suspect it has been introduced in a recent patch but I can’t say for sure if it’s Sim Update 11. Anyway I’m just so happy I found the issue! :open_hands:
