Xbox Series X MSFS Deluxe (Downloaded)
Velocity One yoke and rudders
Wireless Keyboard
Wireless Mouse
Quite New to MSFS.
Everything worked the night before… turned it on the next morning… the mouse not working.
The mouse IS in the control device list.
Unplugged the wireless mouse dongle powered down restarted the console mouse STILL in device list. (?)
Reinstalled mouse dongle powered back up… mouse still doesn’t work.
I suspect a reinstall of MSFS will correct this? (don’t really want to if it can be avoided)
Any known fixes or workarounds or ideas?
Thanks
Different ones… and I swapped positions of the dongles in the USB ports on the Xbox and the mouse and keyboard both now work.
Hmmm… it’s definitely a simple workaround… but I wonder what is causing the original issue?
Thanks for responding!
Try a setup that uses just one dongle, similar to the Logitech set that I have…twenty bucks at Walmart. I’ve heard of others having the problem and it gets sorted when they use just one dongle. Something to try and worth a twenty dollar gamble.
For the life of me I couldn’t get my mouse to work when I had a mouse and keyboard on a single dongle. I ended up getting a mouse and keyboard that have their own dongles and the mouse still wouldn’t be recognised even though it showed in control settings. My workaround is that I unplug the keyboard dongle on start up and plug it in once i press the mouse button on the “Press any Button” screen. The keyboard dongle is plugged into a dongle extension so I don’t have to worry about wear and tear or damage to my Xbox USB Port. Works for me every time now so I’m happy with that.
Wow, sounds like this mouse problem shows itself in various configurations. With and without using single dongles.
Since I just bought this compact keyboard (limited space) with it’s own dongle I’ll see how often the issue arises and keep in mind these various workarounds. Thanks for all the input!
